Terms and Conditions
Last updated: July 23, 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of MereHotels, including our websites, apps, and services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Services.
1) Role of MereHotels Private Limited
MereHotels Private Limited operates MereHotels as an online travel and accommodation platform. We enable users to discover, compare, and book stays and related services offered by independent accommodation partners (“Properties” or “Vendors”).
Unless expressly stated otherwise, MereHotels Private Limited is not the owner, operator, or manager of the Properties listed on MereHotels. When you make a booking, you enter into a direct contract with the relevant Property, and the Property remains responsible for the stay and on-site services.
2) Eligibility and Account
- You must be legally capable of entering into a binding contract under applicable law.
- You are responsible for maintaining accurate account information and safeguarding your login credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, applicable law, or our policies.
3) Bookings and Contract with the Property
3.1 Booking process
- You can search for Properties, view details, and choose a room or rate plan.
- Before confirming, you will see key information including price, taxes and fees (where shown), cancellation and no-show policy, inclusions, and payment terms.
- A booking is considered confirmed when you receive a confirmation screen and/or confirmation communication (such as email or SMS).
3.2 Requirements at check-in
- Properties may require valid identification, age verification, and compliance with local regulations and hotel policies.
- Failure to meet these requirements (for example, valid ID, age, or documentation) may result in refusal of check-in and may be treated as a no-show under the applicable policy.
3.3 Changes, cancellations, and no-shows
- Each booking is subject to the cancellation, modification, refund, and no-show rules shown at the time of booking.
- Some rates are fully flexible; others may be partially or fully non-refundable.
- If you cancel or do not arrive (no-show), the Property or MereHotels Private Limited (on its behalf) may charge the applicable fees.
Always review the specific policy before confirming a booking.
4) Prices, Taxes, and Fees
- We aim to display accurate, up-to-date prices as provided by Properties. However, obvious errors and misprints are not binding.
- Prices may be shown inclusive or exclusive of taxes and fees; the applicable breakdown will be shown during checkout where reasonably possible.
- Additional charges (such as local taxes, resort fees, or security deposits) may be collected directly by the Property, as indicated in Property or rate details.
Currency conversions may be approximate and are for your convenience only.
5) Payments
Payments may be:
- “Pay now”: processed by MereHotels Private Limited or our payment partners at the time of booking, on behalf of the Property.
- “Pay at property”: collected directly by the Property at check-in, check-out, or another agreed time.
We may pre-authorize or temporarily hold amounts on your payment method to secure the booking. If a payment fails, the booking may be cancelled.
Chargebacks, disputes, or suspected fraud may result in reservation cancellation and restrictions on your account.
6) Use of the Services
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
- Make speculative, false, or fraudulent bookings.
- Copy, scrape, or misuse the content, data, or systems of MereHotels.
- Bypass or interfere with security features, rate limits, or access controls.
- Post or transmit content that is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights.
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access where we reasonably believe there is abuse, fraud, or risk to other users, Properties, or MereHotels Private Limited.
7) Reviews and User Content
You may be able to submit reviews, ratings, photos, or other content (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you grant MereHotels Private Limited a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, translate, distribute, display, and publish that content in connection with MereHotels.
You are responsible for ensuring that your User Content is accurate, lawful, and does not violate any rights of others. We may moderate or remove User Content at our discretion.
8) Intellectual Property
All content and materials on MereHotels, including text, graphics, logos, icons, software, and design, are owned or licensed by MereHotels Private Limited and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may use the Services only for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
9) Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law:
- The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
- MereHotels Private Limited does not guarantee that all information (including prices, availability, photos, and descriptions) is error-free or up-to-date at all times, although we strive to keep it accurate and current.
- Properties are independent entities and remain responsible for their own operations, safety, hygiene, and service quality.
10) Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- MereHotels Private Limited is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill.
- Our aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Services or these Terms will not exceed the total amount paid by you to MereHotels Private Limited in relation to the booking giving rise to the claim, if any.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be lawfully excluded or limited.
11) Governing Law and Disputes
Unless mandatory local law provides otherwise, these Terms and any disputes arising from them or your use of the Services are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Courts located in India may have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory protections for consumers under applicable law.
12) Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you through the app, website, or email. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
